Meet the team...
Lucy
Lucy is the Owner of Chalkhouse and one of our three designated safeguarding leads. She has 25 years' experience of working with children, is a qualified paediatric nurse, a mother to five children and a grandmother to two. Lucy loves all elements of caring for children and loves finding new ways to help them develop and grow.
Lisa
Lisa is our Manager and one of our three designated safeguarding leads. She is a Level 3 qualified Nursery Nurse with 14 years' experience working with children between the ages of 0-5. Lisa also holds a BA in Childhood and Youth Studies. Lisa loves exploring nature with the children and taking them on Forest School walks.
Henry
Henry is our Business Manager. He has over 20 years' experience in financial services and is always on hand to help with any funding or invoice queries.
Leah
Leah is our Baby Room Leader. She is a Level 3 qualified Nursery Nurse with 10 years' experience working with children. Leah loves seeing the babies smile and reading them stories.
Emily
Emily is our 2-3 Room Leader. She is a Level 3 qualified Nursery Nurse with 6 years' experience working with children. Emily enjoys arts & crafts with the children and music and dancing.
Lesley
Lesley is our Early Years Curriculum Leader and Music Teacher. She has nearly 30 years’ experience as a classroom teacher and a music curriculum lead in both the state and private sector. Lesley has also taught piano and singing as a peripatetic. As an experienced practitioner, she brings her expertise to educate children through her extensive knowledge of the National Curriculum and in addition she brings her own bespoke music curriculum entwined with Kodàly method and iTrack.
Sammie
Sammie works in our Baby Room. She is a Level 3 qualified Nursery Nurse with 10 years' experience in childcare.
Debbie
Debbie is our on-site chef. She has over 15 years' experience in catering at nurseries and schools. Debbie loves baking treats for the children.
Mica
Mica works in our Baby Room. She is a Level 3 qualified Nursery Nurse with 10 years' experience in childcare.
Kaavya
Kaavya works in our Baby Room as a Nursery Assistant. She is a mother of 2 and also has experience working with children with special needs. As well as English, Kaavya also speaks Hindi and Tamil. Kaavya loves cuddling the babies and planning activities for them.
Adele
Adele works in our 2-3 Room as a Nursery Assistant. She has 4 years' experience in hospitality and customer service. Adele loves helping children to settle-in and playing in the role-play kitchen with them.
Krithika
Krithika works in our Pre-school Room as a Nursery Assistant. She has over 10 years' experience in education, working as a teacher and an exam invigilator. Krithika loves musical instruments and sensory play.
